Origin of the salts

Salt used for water treatment can come from two sources:

Sea salt: this is obtained by crystallisation from seawater under the influence of the sun and wind. There are different types of salt depending on the region, extraction methods and natural resources. Discover our granulated salt for swimming pools.

Refined or rock salt: underground salt deposits are dissolved by injecting water and then recrystallised. This process produces a salt of high purity.

The salt used in Salins products for water treatment is a high-purity refined salt (99.9% NaCl). It is processed into cushion-shaped or cylindrical tablets for swimming pool electrolysers or water softeners.
