AquaSwim TAC +

What is TAC+?

TAC refers to the alkalinity of your pool water, one of the three parameters that make up water balance. It is this TAC that is also responsible for what is known as buffering capacity, which helps to minimise fluctuations in pH.

Poor water balance can lead to several harmful effects:

• Excessive use of pH control products.
• Limescale build-up in pipes and limescale stains on liners.
• Skin and eye irritation.
• Corrosion of metal fittings.

When should you use the TAC AquaSwim booster?

TAC+ can be used throughout the season depending on fluctuations in TAC. This parameter varies according to weather conditions and how the pool is used.

TAC should be checked once a week and adjusted during the season.

It is advisable to use TAC+ if the pH is unstable or if the alkalinity of your pool water (TAC) is below 80 mg/L.

Instructions for use:

1: Measure your pool’s TAC once a week using suitable test strips.
2: The ideal TAC level is between 100 mg/L (10°f) and 150 mg/L (15°f). If the measured TAC is below 100 mg/L (10°f), add AquaSwim TAC+.
3: To increase the TAC by 10 mg/L (1°f), add 180g of TAC+ per 10m³. Dilute the TAC+ in 10L of water and pour the mixture into the pool.
